Last Updated on by James King

It appears that the newly regulated online gambling market in Buenos Aires is ramping up, following heavyweight software provider, Evolution’s entry into each of its provinces.

Having gone live with online gambling in early December, the Argentine capital saw a flurry of interest from notable operators, including Bet365. The stipulations laid out by the gaming commission is that any international online gambling company is to have a local partner.

Rival software provider Playtech are understood to have lined up a licence to operate there, however, it seems that Evolution pipped them to the post.

Buenos Aires market welcomes Evolution

What are the details of Evolution’s presence in Buenos Aires?

It is understood that the Swedish software giant is able to enter the market via a link-up with local firm BetWarrior, who they will provide an array of its slots and games. Over the years, Evolution has carved a reputation as a leading developer of live casino titles, including their own unique games such as Monopoly Live.

Last year the company, formerly Evolution Gaming acquired rival Swedish giant NetEnt and rebranded as ‘Evolution’, and as a result, customers of BetWarrior will be able to access all of their titles as well, which includes the highly popular Starburst slot. In addition, Evolution also acquired the smaller, more boutique software company Red Tiger and as a result, their portfolio will also be available.

Head of Operations for Latin America, at Evolution, Mónica Umaña, explained: “This is a very exciting time for operators and their players in the Buenos Aires Province and Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. Evolution has a long record of being first-to-market for operators across the world and our games represent the very best of online gaming in regulated online markets.

“Evolution offer a wide selection of games in the Buenos Aires Province. In live casino there are numerous roulette and blackjack variants, and the award-winning Lightning Roulette, to name but a few.

“For players who prefer slots there is a massive choice of top-performing titles, including NetEnt’s Starburst and Divine Fortune Megaways, as well as a selection of Red Tiger titles.

“This is just the beginning – our brands are constantly developing innovative new titles which we will look to introduce as the market grows.”

Other operators lined up

It is understood that the software provider intends to partner with other Argentine-based operators as well over the coming months, in a bid to increase awareness of their games to the Latin American market.

International operators such as Bet365 also have a wide variety of Evolution titles already which means that players can essentially take their pick of operators.
